If it is not complete by April 1, 2012,  your bio will NOT be published on the site, printed in either the race program or in the end of the year program.

Bios should include the following:  

NAME, class, car number, etc.  You may include any personal and sponsor information you desire.  MAKE SURE spelling is correct as we will publish as received with minor grammatical corrections and "space" constraint edits.  What goes on the website WILL go in the program.

Meet our drivers for 2012: 

Tom Burkhalter is one of the founders of TSK and a "Grandfather figure" to many a racer passing through these gates.  As an A and B class Midget driver, Tom has mentored many young drivers to success. Married to Pam.  Sponsored by THE NAIL FACTORY, PAM'S QUILTING CORNER AND CANYON VIEW BODY SHOP.

Colten Mashburn #17- Jr.1   Colten has been on the track since age 5.   He enjoys racing, playing pool, and riding his bike.  Colten is one of those guys you just have to like and is always smiling.   He attends Lakeview Elementary.
His parents are Josh and Amanda Mashburn.   He has a brother Sully and a sister Karrah.   

Oakley Smith is the driver of the #4 senior champ kart. She is sixteen and this is her 12th season to race.She started her racing career in the mini 1 class when she was five. She is a swimmer and captain for the Caprock High School swim team. Oakley also swims for the Amarillo swim team when she is not swimming for her school.Oakley got her drivers license this year. She is looking forward to beating her father Chub in the sr. champ class again this year.
Oakley's mom is Sonja and she has supported Oakley in her racing career from day one.

Kaleb Barfoot-6th grade student.  His parents- Aaron & Katie Pemberton and one brother, "Wild Man" Wylie.  Drives in Mini 2 class #6  Sponsored by PANHANDLE GREENHOUSES AND GR FAB.  Hobbies include wrestling and rock collecting.

  Chub Smith is the driver of the #3Sr. Champ kart.  Chub is one of those guys that always has a smile on his face and loves what he does.  He is a major proponent of racing and has helped in promoting karting at Tri-State for many years.  He is married to Sonja (his better half) and they have one daughter, Oakley. 

Dustin "Easy Money" Grajczyk- drives in the Senior class #327. Parents are Dwayne (Vice President of TSK) and Lori Ellis.  Dustin has one sister, Lindsey.  He is sponsored by ELLIS MASONRY.  He is a college graduate and loves to race.  He loves fishing, sports and helping other young racers.  He has helped Chase Havely/JCRacing in their racing success.  

Breenan Miles- driver of the #83 Boxstock.  Mom is Dana Miles and he has a brother Bryce , Keenan and a sister Sade.  Sponsored by Grandpa and Grammy.  Attends Rolling Hills Elementary.

Seth Smith drives the #19 Mini 1 kart.  His parents are Jimmy and Hy.  He lives in Pampa.  Seth has one sister.  Seth has a fantastic personality and will tell you how he is going to win.  Ask for his autograph and you will have a friend FOREVER! 

Keenan Miles- is also a Boxstock driver in the #112 kart.  He likes racing against his twin brother and they often take each other out. 

Nathan "Hot Rod" Gaddy- Is a past Jr. 3 Champion.  Currently Nathan has progressed to the restricted 600 class (#77) and runs the wheels off of it going to the front of the pack.  Parents are Darryl (Past President) and Melanie.  He also has a brother, Andrew, two sisters, Victoria and Hannah.  He attends Bushland in the 8th grade.  He is sponsored by BULL DADDY RACING.  He loves racing, playing football, dog training, working in the garden and being with his friends.

Zach Perry- driver of the #22 Senior Champ Kart.  Parents are John and Jennifer Perry.  Zach lives in Logan, NM and can't wait for Fridays.  He has a sister, Carly and a brother, Aiden.  He is sponsored by the Yucca Motel, Annex Bar & Grill, and B&C Lawncare all in Logan, NM.  He attends Logan High School in the 10th grade.  His hobbies are racing, swimming, and hanging out with his dad & grandpa.

Chase Havely- loves to race and his entries show it.  He races Junior 3 (#31), Mini 2 (#29) and a "B" Midget (#31).  In November of 2011, Chase began racing as a "Young Lion" in US Legends.  He lives outside of Abernathy, TX and attends Abernathy Junior High School in the 6th grade.  Chase also plays baseball, basketball and football and has been selected to All Stars in both baseball and basketball.  Chase loves to snow ski, ride four wheelers and go to NASCAR races.  Chase hopes to race at the Cup level.  His sponsors include SKF Bearing, Boot City of Lubbock, Canyon View Auto Body and Texas Sign and Design.  WEBSITE:  Chasejhavelyracing.com

Logan Reynolds - Driver of the #72 Restricted 600. Logan began driving in 2008 in the mini 1 class where he holds a Track Champion Title, and in 2010 Drove his first race in a “B” Class Mini Sprint, By his third race he had won his first heat race driving in Oklahoma City. In 2011 he got his Restricted 600 and finished the season off in 2nd place in the year end standings.

Logan is a 7th Grader at Westover Park and excels in Math and Science.  He is the son of Greg and Patti Reynolds and the brother of Sadi Artley, all of whom race. Sadi Artley - Driver of the #27 B Class Mini Sprint. Sadi began driving in 2009 in the mini 2 class where she Finished second in points, and in 2010 Drove her first season in a “B” Class Mini Sprint. In 2011 she ran a limited schedule and graduated from Randall High School. Sadi is a “Big Sister” to all of the “little ones” coming up at the race track, you will almost always see her with a younger generation kid in her arms in between her races.

Sadi currently works for Cavenders Boot City and plans on enrolling at Amarillo College to study Dental Hygiene. She is the daughter of Greg and Patti Reynolds and the sister of Logan Reynolds, all of whom race. Greg Reynolds - Driver of the #72 A Class Mini Sprint. Greg grew up at the old asphalt track watching and hanging out in the pits. He began racing in 1994 in the “Thunder Bomber” Class and as soon as rt. 66 was built began racing in the Super Stock class. He and his brother “Fuzzy” raced for many years there until his own children were old enough to start their racing career. Greg crew chiefed his son Logan and his daughter sadi’s go carts for 3 years before he began racing again in a “A” Class mini sprint in 2010. That season he finished 3rd. in points for the season.Also in 2009 He was elected to the Board of Directors for Tri-State Karting, in 2010 and 2011 he was elected as the Vice President.  Greg did a great job of coordinating events and keeping the excitement going.  Greg is an endless source of kindness and assistance.  You can count on him for anything at any time.


Greg is Married to Patti Reynolds who also races. Greg spends his time working in the shop on the four race cars that he and his family race weekly at TSK. Patti Reynolds - Driver of the #00 “B” Class Mini Sprint. Patti started her life in TSk as a mom and quickly became our announcer and scorekeeper. She spent 3 seasons in the tower and working Sign in in the pits. In 2011 She left the tower to race along side her two kids and husband. Never to stay out of the tower very long, anytime she was needed she left the seat of her race car to take the seat in the tower. With spending 6 nights in the tower during the 2011 season she finished 9th in the point standings and was crowned rook- ie of the year and voted most improved by her fellow racers. Patti has also held a position on the Board of Directors for 3 years. Patti was taught by the best how to run the nights events at the race track and how to love every kid that walks through the gates of TSK as her own.  Patti is married to Greg Reynolds.


Tanner Prater - Driver of the #12 ”B” Class Mini Sprint. Tanner may be new to the seat of a race car, but not new to the track. He has pitted for several of the drivers of TSK and now a car owner and driver himself. Tanner, born and raised in Borger, graduated from Borger High School in 2010 and plans on attending the Amarillo Police Academy. Tanner’s sponsors include G & P Motorsports and Coyote Creek Bar of Fritch, Tx.


Carly Perry- driver of the #24 Mini 2 kart.  Parents are John & Jennifer Perry.  Carly comes to race all the way from Logan, NM where she is in the 7th grade.  Her big brother, Zach has shared some of his fast secrets and Carly is on a roll this year.  Carly is sponsored by Yucca Motel, Osborn Monuments, and Dickensons.  Her hobbies include cheerleading, basketball, and swimming.  She wishes to say "hello" to her family and friends from around the U.S.

Brayden Dockery- driver of the #18X Boxstock.  Sponsored by his dad, Jimmy and C & S Machine. 

Jimmy Dockery- driver of the #69X Senior kart and father of Brayden.  Sponsored by C & S Machines, Eastridge Lanes and Tom Dockery Signs.

Daniel Mioc drives the #02d in the A Class Midget.  Married to Kim. 

Arron Pemberton drives the #7 Sr. Champ kart.  He is married to Katie and they have two sons, Kaleb and Wylie.  Arron has been on the Board for several years and has worked hard to elevate racing at Tri-State Speedway to it's current level.  Arron is a great father, friend and can be counted on for anything.  He loves being with his kids, racing, paintball and collecting junk.

Jeff "Tumbleweed" Smith drives the #46/54 B Midget.  Jeff is one of the nicest guys at Tri State.  You'd have to go a LONG way to find someone that enjoys racing more than he does.  You can count on Smith for anything at any time.  Jeff is sponsored by FAST SIGNS, ACE PEST CONTROL AND AMARILLO SALVAGE. 

Jerd "Wild Man" Vinson drives the #88 A Midget kart.  He is sponsored by BAILEY CHASSIS.  This is his first year to drive at Tri State Speedway and it is always a family affair for him.  He has lots of support.

Brady Wertz drives the #70 B Midget kart.  His parents are Darryl and Laura and he has one sister, Kaycie.  He is sponsored by EYEWEAN OUTLET IN PLAINVIEW, ARC WRX AND AEROCOLORS LUBBOCK.  He attends Tascosa in the 11th grade. 

John Young is the driver of the #14 B Midget.  We don't have any information on him but we do know he is learning how to drive from his step-dad, Jerd Vinson.  We think he is having alot of fun. 

Jeremy Lovelady- drives the #17 in the A Midget class.  His parents are Travis Lovelady and Shannon Lovelady.  He has one brother, Dustin.  Jeremy is attending Amarillo College and is engaged to be married. Jeremy is working on his associates degree in business administration.   His sponsors are RICK LOVELADY CARPET, D & R FABRICATION & GRAPHICS, STALLARD RACE CARS, MOOSEHEAD POWDERCOATING AND DAVID BROWN SPORTS CENTER.  HE IS ALSO SPONSORED BY DAD.  Jeremy started racing at Tri State Speedway in the Mini 1 class.  Jeremy would like to send a special thanks out to Tom Burkhalter, Joe Klonoski and Marcus Evans.

Hannah Gaddy (Rocket Girl)- is the daughter of Darryl and Melanie and drives in the Junior 3 class #27.  She is in the 10th grade at Bushland High School.  Her sponsors are BULL DADDY RACING AND KS MOTORSPORTS.  She also plays volleyball and enjoys playing the flute.
